Safety Policy

How Purvanchal Sathi tries to keep shared journeys safe, and what safety is — and is not — in our hands. Operated by Wevanta Infotech Private Limited.

Last updated: — · Purvanchal Sathi is a service operated by Wevanta Infotech Private Limited.

1. What this policy covers

Purvanchal Sathi connects people travelling in the same direction. The journey itself is made by a driver in their own vehicle, with passengers who chose to travel with them.

This policy explains the checks we run, the tools we give you and the conduct we require. It does not turn the Company into the operator of the journey. The Company is an intermediary and does not drive, supervise or accompany any trip.

2. What we verify before a driver can carry passengers

Before a driver may publish a ride we ask for, and review, the following:

- A mobile number, confirmed by a one-time code. - A government identity document. - A valid driving licence. - The vehicle's registration certificate. - Valid insurance for the vehicle.

We check that the documents we are given are legible, unexpired and consistent with each other and with the account. We are not a licensing authority and cannot confirm a document's authenticity with the issuing body in every case. Verification means we have reviewed what was submitted; it is not a guarantee about a person, a vehicle or a journey.

3. The trip PIN

Every booking carries a four-digit PIN held by the passenger. The driver must be told it at pickup and enter it to start the trip.

This exists so that a trip can only start with the passenger physically present. Never share your PIN before you are at the vehicle and satisfied that it is the right one — the registration number and the driver's name are both shown in your booking.

4. Tools available during a journey

- **Trip sharing.** You can send a live link to someone you trust so they can follow your journey. - **In-app contact.** Driver and passenger can message each other about the booking without exchanging personal numbers. - **Emergency contacts.** You can save contacts to be reached quickly from the trip screen. - **Report.** Any user, ride or message can be reported to us from within the app.

In an emergency, call 112 first. We are not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help.

5. Conduct we require

Everyone using the platform must:

- Travel sober. Driving or travelling under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited outright. - Obey traffic law, including speed limits, seat belts and the licensed seating capacity of the vehicle. A driver must never carry more passengers than the vehicle is registered for. - Treat other users with respect, regardless of gender, caste, religion, region, language or any other characteristic. - Refuse to carry anything illegal, dangerous or prohibited.

Harassment, intimidation, unwanted physical contact and any sexual advance towards another user are prohibited without exception.

6. What we do when something is reported

Reports are reviewed by our trust and safety team. Depending on what we find we may issue a warning, restrict features, suspend an account, cancel affected bookings, withhold a settlement pending investigation, or remove the account permanently.

Where a report describes conduct that appears to be a criminal offence, we may suspend the account immediately, before any investigation is complete, and we will cooperate with the police and with any lawful order or request from an authority.

We do not disclose the outcome of action taken against another user; doing so is neither lawful nor safe.

7. Your own judgement remains essential

Sharing a journey means travelling with people you have not met. Before you travel, check the vehicle's registration number against your booking, tell somebody where you are going, and use the trip share link.

If at any point you do not feel safe, do not travel. Cancelling a booking is always available to you, and a cancellation made because you felt unsafe should be reported to us with the reason so we can act on it.

The Company cannot supervise a journey it is not part of, and cannot be responsible for the conduct of an independent driver or passenger. Nothing in this policy is a promise that a journey will be safe.

8. Insurance

Each vehicle must carry valid insurance, which is the driver's responsibility to hold and maintain. The Company does not provide insurance, is not an insurer, and is not a party to any policy between a driver and their insurer.

A claim arising from an incident during a journey is a matter between the people involved and the relevant insurer. We will provide the booking and trip records we hold to a party who is lawfully entitled to them.

These documents are being finalised with legal advice before launch. The postal address, support telephone number and GST details are added once registration is complete.
